Trigger-Point Dry Needling

Acupuncture-style release for deep myofascial and nerve pain.

What it is

Plain language. Real work.

Dry needling uses thin, solid needles inserted into trigger points, which are tight knots in the muscle that cause pain, stiffness, and referred discomfort in other areas of the body. It is not traditional acupuncture. It is based on modern neuroscience and targets the specific muscle tissue causing your symptoms.

Dr. Clay has over 100 hours of acupuncture and dry needling training. He uses this technique to reach deep muscle tissue that hands alone cannot always access, creating a release that restores blood flow, reduces inflammation, and calms the nervous system.

What to expect

A typical visit, step by step.

01
Identify

Dr. Clay identifies the trigger points through palpation and your description of where the pain refers.

02
Insert

Thin needles are inserted into the trigger points. You may feel a brief twitch response, which is the muscle releasing.

03
Rest

The needles stay in place for a few minutes while the tissue relaxes.

04
Release

After removal, you may feel immediate relief. Some soreness in the treated area is normal for 24-48 hours.

FAQ

Common questions.
