At The Body Shop, we believe that the body is a machine and has the ability to heal itself; sometimes it just need a little push. Meet Dr. Clay Thompson
Dr. Clay Thompson, DC., opened The Body Shop in 2023 in Denton, TX after several years as the clinic director for Affordable Chiropractic and Massage which stood in the same location for more than a decade. He fell in love with the unlikely location, and the community within a community that exists at the Golden Triangle Mall. Dr. Clay received his Doctorate from Parker University in Dallas, Texas. He holds Science Bachelor's in Anatomy, and Health and Wellness. He went through 100 hours of additional training in acupuncture from Parker which he utilizes in delivering trigger point dry needling. A background in Massage therapy, specific to sports and deep myofascial work is integrated into his whole-body approach for helping his patients achieve their health and wellness goals through natural, non-invasive care.

We utilize a wide a range of modalities (with many more on the way)! in our approach to affordable chiropractic care. Services beyond chiropractic care through adjustments unique to each persons needs may include triggerpoint and myofascial release techniques, ultrasound therapy, dry needling, (trigger point acupuncture), cupping, kinesiology taping, gua sha, ice therapy, rehabilitation excercises and nutritional support and consultation for a functional medicine based approach to achieving optimal health and wellness.
